In the early 90's things really began to change. At a Sports show in Seattle, an inflatable raft for one person with the floor
open to the water caught my eye. I visualized the great potential for absolutely owning a
river up to class 3 white water. I sold all my flotation stuff, drift boat,
Float Tubes, canoe, everything and bought three of these new style rafts. I
started having my clients fish from them. They loved the chance to fish
where they wanted to and guess what? I quit rowing and started fishing! This
is a win, win sort of thing for all.
Through the remaining decade of the 90's, I started
learning the market place through 4-6 Sports Shows a year. I received my
Fly-Fishing Federation Casting Instructor Certification in January 2001
under the tutelage of Tom White. In the February 2001 Fresno Calif. Sports
Show. I was the Featured Demonstrator and did 4, 1-hour programs a day
for 4 days. Between the demos, I showed young and old how to cast or how to
improved, their casting. The joy of teaching others to cast and fly fish,
led me to Everett Community College, in March of 2001, where I held
Fly-Casting and Fly Fishing classes, for the following two years.
To this day I am selling our Companies products,
doing Fly Club presentations on Fishing Alaska, traveling world wide to
Fly-Fish, New Zealand, The Yukon, Canada, Russia, Venezuela and the western
US. I was fortunate enough to have had an article published in the July 1996
issue of Western Angler. Through business decisions and circumstantial
developments, I am now the AT EL Patent holder on the ACCESS EXP inflatable fishing
raft.
